A retrospective exhibition of artwork by Dr. Patricia Hollingsworth, founder of the University School at the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Students of the University of Tulsa School of Art, Design & Art History are curating and creating a catalog to celebrate Pat Hollingsworth’s vast and multifaceted creative output. Her imagery abounds with figures, florals, patterns, landscape vistas, architecture, geometry and light. She draws from her family, life experiences, environments in which she has lived, and love of nature, melding representation with abstraction in luminous and prismatic paintings and drawings. Her work reflects her deep engagement with art history and contemporary developments in painting in the latter half of the 20th century. The artwork in this exhibit at the Oklahoma Center for the Humanities spans from 1959 to the present.
