This is an open-edition print of the original oil painting "Scene from The Ledges" by Jason Rafferty.
"Painted at the same location as 'Torrents of the French Broad', the Ledges Park north of Asheville, NC, this scene depicts the drama of the French Broad River in high summer. I painted it plein air over a number of sittings, going back to the same spot each time to seek our more details and information. The stick balancing on the rock was like that for the first sitting only, but I'm glad I got it in there, it brings a nice balance to the piece."
